Applicable sanctions
The producers, importers and distributors that sell non-conforming equipment, and who – therefore – may produce harmful interference, will be sanctioned by The National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications (ANCOM) by fine, according to the legislation in force and the respective equipment will be withdrawn/recalled from the market.
Where harmful interference is detected to be caused by the end-users’ equipment, they must switch off the respective equipment.
Where the use of non-conforming equipment that causes harmful interference does not stop, the Authority may enforce contravention fines on the users according to the legislation in force, amounting from RON 500 to RON 5,000.
