“The granting of two new 3G licences, the spectacular growth of the penetration rate of mobile telephone services among population, as well as the preparation of certain new technologies such as WiMAX have arisen a real interest for the representatives of the companies that participated at the current edition of CeBIT", Dan Georgescu, the President of ANRCTI, declared after visiting the stands of the most important producers and providers of telecommunications equipments present at CeBIT.

CeBIT is one of the most important international events in the field of information technology and communications. This year’s edition took place in Hanover, Germany, between March 15 and 21. Exhibitors from all sectors of communications and information technology were present, among which: communications (networks, telecommunications, Internet access services, fixed communications services, mobile communications), digital equipment & systems (computers, peripherals and components, storage alternatives), financial & banking services (financial services, informatics systems designed for the providers of banking and financial services), the Future Parc (research, science, start-ups) and the Public Sector Parc (IT&C solutions for governmental institutions and public services). Romania was represented by 30 significant companies which draw the attention of the potential external partners on the innovatory solutions which they develop.
