Equipment manufacturers
The manufacturers play a crucial role in ensuring that the products, hence the equipment, introduced in the EU market are conforming and, implicitly, safe. They need to check whether their equipment meet the essential requirements regarding the health and safety of the users and of any other person, regarding the protection in respect of electromagnetic compatibility and regarding the efficient use of the radio spectrum.

Thus, it is the manufacturer’s responsibility to perform the conformity check, to draw up the technical documentation, to apply the 
marking and, where mandatory, to issue a Declaration of Conformity.
 Only then the respective product may be sold in the EU market!
