To date, the National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications has allocated 89.07 million numbers, on the basis of the procedure for granting licences for the use of numbering resources. Within geographical numbering, that is the 0Z=02 (02XX XXX XXX) and 0Z=03 (03XX XXX XXX) domains, 29.25 million numbers were allocated, i.e. 32,8% of the total numbering resources allocated until February 24, 2014.

 

 

Out of all the numbers allotted in the 0Z=03 domain (17.816.280), more than 14 million are geographic numbers, more than 3 million are location-independent numbers (nongeographic) and 280 are short numbers.

 

 

 

In the mobile telephony domain were granted numbering resources to the following companies: S.C. Cosmote RMT S.A., S.C. Vodafone Romania S.A., S.C. Orange Romania S.A., S.C. Telemobil S.A., S.C. RCS & RDS S.A. and S.C. Enigma-System Mobile Virtual Network Operator S.R.L.. The allotted numbering resources in the 0Z=07 domain amount to 59.3 million and are distributed as follows:

 

In the 0Z=08 domain each company has been allotted blocks of 1000 numbers for freephone numbers, numbers for bursty traffic services, numbers for indirect access services, numbers for data transmission and Internet access services and numbers for shared-cost services.
