The National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications (ANCOM) has concluded a Collaboration Protocol with InfoCons – A European Organization for Consumer Protection, a protocol which sets the framework for the parties’ consulting and supporting each other with a view to initiating and carrying out Programs and citizen education campaigns in the field of electronic communications, audiovisual communications, postal services, as well as in the field of digital services.

This collaboration protocol lays down the guidelines for mutual consultation and support in launching and unfolding programs and campaigns to educate citizens about their rights and interests in areas that fall within the scope of ANCOM's competence.

The National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications  (ANCOM) is the institution that promotes the interests of service users by promoting competition and innovation in the electronic communications and postal services markets, pro-competitive management of limited resources (radio spectrum, numbering resources and associated technical resources), encouraging efficient investments in networks and infrastructures and promoting ultra-fast connectivity. ANCOM is also Digital Services Coordinator in Romania.

InfoCons – A European Organization for Consumer Protection – was founded in 2003 to meet the needs of consumers. It has constantly acted towards its objectives ever since, enjoying national and international recognition, and being a member of various organizations, advisory commissions of authorities, working groups and a partner in national and international programs. InfoCons is the only Romanian organisation to become a full member of Consumers International and a founding member of the Romanian Federation of Consumer Associations.
