Thursday, May 4, 2006, the President of the National Regulatory Authority for Communications, Mr. Dan Georgescu, delivered a speech during the opening session of the conference „Communications Day”.

The ANRC President presented and detailed the latest important developments of Internet access services, of the fixed and mobile telephony. The Romanian market of electronic communications is further expanding; the providers are constantly adjusting to the new technological developments, in order to conquer the users by means of complex service packages. Competition has become effective in the communications market.

This event, organised during CERF, included the speeches of prominent participants, such as: the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Mr. Zsolt Nagy, the President of the IT&C Commission of the Romanian Parliament, Mr. Varujan Pambuccian, the IGCTI President, Mr. Catalin Marinescu, as well as of the players in the electronic communications market.
